3344-M&W Circular Story

What is a circular story??
-A circular story is a story in a book that follows a circle. The story starts and ends the same way.
How can I use a circular story in my classroom?
-I can use a circular story to teach the students about sequencing. To to teach them that in every story there is a certain order of events. Also to teach them how to recognize patterns in the story. I would get them to try and recite the story by retelling it or with picture to help them see the patterns in the story.
Different ways I would try to make reading fun in my classroom is to get the kids to act out parts of the story. It would be a good way to get them to interact with each other and to be comfortable in front of the class. It can also help them understand the story better. Sometimes seeing and doing is better than just listening to someone read. I also think getting them to rewrite the story in their own words would be a fun way to see what their take on the story is and to fully see what they are getting from the reading.
