EDRG 3321 CH. 3

In class we went over chapter 3. I found chapter 3 very interesting. It was about reading and comprehension. We learn in this chapter that comprehension is the most important thing about reading. If you don't understand what your reading then you are not learning anything. So many times we worry about how well or fast kids read that we forget the most important part, the comprehension. So as teachers we need to work and stress this more.

My author for this week is Katherine Paterson. I came across her on the Internet and found a site for her that was really helpful and had a lot of information about her books and her background. Here is the site, www.terabithia.com/index.html she has wrote books like Bridge to Terabithia, Come Sing Jimmy Jo, Flip-Flop Girl, and Park's Quest. She has an interesting background and I think Y'all should check her out!
